Step 1: Add the TapKit plugin marketplace
- Open Cowork in the Claude app.
- In the left sidebar, click Customize.
- Go to Personal Plugins and click the + button.
- You’ll see a popup with Browse Plugins and Create Plugin — hover over Create Plugin.
- Click Add Marketplace.
- In the popup, paste the following:

Step 2: Install the TapKit plugin
- Still in Cowork under Customize, click Browse Plugins.
- Find the TapKit plugin in the list.
- Click Install, then click Manage.

Step 3: Give it permission
- In the Customize sidebar, click on the TapKit plugin.
- Click on Connectors, then select the TapKit connector.
- On the right side next to the tools, set the permission to Always allow.

Make sure the TapKit Mac app is running with a phone connected. You may need to re-authenticate the plugin.
Actions are timing out

Check that your phone is awake and the screen is on. Switch Control must be enabled on the iPhone. If the Mac app shows the phone as disconnected, unplug and replug the USB cable.

If you have multiple phones, Claude may need to select the right one. Ask Claude to “list my available phones” and then specify which one to use.
